With more than 19,000 members worldwide, Professional Photographers of America (PPA) is the world’s largest association for imaging professionals. Currently headquartered in Atlanta, PPA was formed in April 1880 as the Photographers Association of America (PAA). The name was changed to Professional Photographers of America in 1958 to distinguish the association from emerging amateur photography organizations.
